Appearance: Alma is tall and broad shouldered, with a tapered waist and wide hips. Her hair is long, the colour of a burning orange sun, her eyes a warm honey brown. Her skin glows, speckled with delicate freckles, three prominently placed either side of her nose.
Abilities: Alma is the second most powerful of the Stars, though she is hesitant to use her abilities. Her strength is drawn from the life-force of the stars, though her true extent is achieved when drawn from a sunstar. Her energy takes the form of glorious, golden-orange flames that can either harm or heal.
Though her powers are vast, she favours defensive tactics over outright offensive. Her protective nature manifests in the form of a large shield that burns golden with the strength of the solar energy being channelled into it. Very rarely will Alma opt to use her sword in battle, though she will use it to gain an advantage if needs be.
Being a Star, Alma can also shift between forms at will, and can choose to take on the appearance of any living beings.

Personality: Alma is peaceful, warm and approachable. She is always eager to help others, although her naivety and willingness to believe in the good of others often backfires on her. She is reliable and likes to be depended on, sometimes to the point of sacrificing herself to offer protection and guidance. Her generosity is limitless, easily taken advantage of, and so, aware of this downfall, Alma will often choose to isolate herself in times of peace.
Story: Millennia ago, the Stars gifted the mortals with their abilities so that they may protect themselves against any evils that may come their way. Alma, the oldest of the Stars, has seen more destruction and harm come to innocents than she ever would have preferred to, and so is hesitant in giving her gifts away. She finds it in herself to bless only a select few with her abilities, though never with the more harmful of her arsenal.
Over the centuries, Alma witnesses the good their abilities grant though she also sees mass misuse of the Star's blessings, their gifts being used to exploit and take advantage of those without. She is drawn to small planet where she senses her own blessing being used for ill-doings, and so, taking on a mortal, she deems to personally protect those who cannot do so themselves.
After living for decades as a human, dubbed Gloriana, her Blue Star sibling seeks her out, accusing her of seeking glory and fame amongst the mortals, of trying to make herself the most worshipped and revered of the Stars. The Blue Star is displeased with Alma's denials, with her reasons, and so chooses to start a worldwide war on the planet, throwing everything into disarray in a bid to strike Alma down.
