[poem]

One year after my birth our kingdom was raided by the demon Naphaket, Slaughterer of Thousands, Bone-Eater, Renderer of Souls. He stood upright like a giant, his gait so long that none on foot could keep pace. He uprooted our towers and homes and fields with mighty rakes of his razor claws, and sent survivors scuttling to the citadel in search of sanctuary, with not but the clothes on their backs.
The king sent his army against them. The cavalry was beyond valuable, for horses were swifter and could dodge his grasp easier. Naphaket has always hated horses. But despite their gallant attempts, the army took heavy losses, and by the end of the second day Naphaket had advanced to the edge of the citadel. The king's castle was nearly in reach. Their fortress was mighty, but Naphaket was tall and could scale the barricade with ease.
The army had retreated to within the city, the horses were called back. Archers stood at position and fired, for all the good they could do. Even fiery arrows could not harm the great demon monster. They stuck from his hide like spikes. The wounds did not hinder him.
As he approached the citadel gate, a lone rider flew from the left, on horseback. The knight was female, unusual in this kingdom. All the soldiers of the army were men, women were not prized as fighters. But Naphaket could not care. He laughed, a great, thundering echoing noise which cast fear into the hearts of all the people in the kingdom. He was certain no single rider could ever defeat him.
It would have done him good to know fear, for I was that knight.
Naphaket laughed, and the ground beneath my horse's feet trembled as he turned his grotesque weight towards us. He lifted his oozing foot and bore it down upon us, but of course we are were to swift and he struck only earth.
[unfinished, the rest is an outline]
Fights [thing] at the edge of a volcano river, deep below the surface of the earth. Armor is made of [special] enchanted gold. She falls into the river but is saved by the armor and the gift of the will of her people to survive, for she is quite loved, as well as being their savior from this terrible evil. When she comes out of the river, her skin is colored crimson, her hair is colored gold. Fire ripples over her, not like it consumes her, but like wind sending ripples through a prairie. If she is cut, blood does not spill, molten lava does. Her throat frequently glows, as well as the irises of her eyes. Her pupils are coal black.
She came about through a god of riddles, he plagued the kingdom's castle, carrying his great form over the city, terrifying and endangering the town's folk. The king, who ruled alone for he was widowed for nigh on a decade, sent knights after him in attempt to slay him, for he was angered at the people's inability to appease him. The god was a giant, four-legged grotesque thing, with legs taller than the houses. His body undulated and shifted as if he was boneless. The knights could not slay him, for his hide turned as hard as diamond when struck. Further offended by the attempts at his life, he sought the king himself, who bravely came out to meet him at the front entrance of the castle. He asked why everyone was so stupid and dull, and though angry, laughed at the king below him, because for all his might and military strength, he could not defeat death knocking on his door step.
He promised the king his life, if he could answer his riddle. And so the riddle was about [something] that his wife used to talk to him longingly about, and though he should not have been able to, he answered correctly. The god asked him how, it was explained, so in the end he decides to give the king a gift; a child, a daughter. Half king, half god.
She is a warrior first and foremost, built tall and sturdy with incredible stamina and spirit. She was created with god-like endurance and strength. Never again will the kingdom be at the mercy of a wandering spirit, for she does not fail to slay where even the most renowned knights do.
She is complete, as free from blemish as a demi-god could be, and despite the horror of her first father she is quite loved. She will be a just, fair, and powerful warrior-king. If she has one failing it is her self-pride and stubbornness.
Oh, and she has never failed a game of riddles. Not once.
