The sun slowly rose over the bamboo fields. As the light rose, it struck the eyes of one sleeping Skillow. He slowly opened his eyes, squinting in the morning light. He shook himself and yawned. He gazed out over his home of Bamboo Beach, he was going to be leaving it today. He was finally old enough to strike out on his own, Fenix grinned at the idea. His excitment grew as the sun rose, and in one excited jump, he spread his wings and flew off into the unknown.
Fenix traveled far, stopping from time to time to eat and rest. He wasn't sure exactly where he was going. He'd grown up with his siblings and they had all seemed content to stay home. But Fenix had always been adventerous. He had been the first out of the nest, and the first to try to fly. But he wasn't sure where to go.
