The baby Gurahdi’s large eyes were wide with wonder and fear as she watched – from a safe distance. Out on the training grounds, a Northern Gurahdi slashed through the air with her sword, twirling around as she went, her eyes narrowed and set. She stared at the air as if she could see opponents in the whirls of the wind, cutting fiercely at their shapes. The young one, known as Touinar, had seen this Gurahdi train here day after day, and never did her ferocity or spirit drop.
But after all, this was Feiray, daughter of Aquin. Her father was well known, and she seemed determined that she would be, as well.
But not for the magic and leadership her father had shown, and still did. No, she wanted to be known for her fighting prowess – and let any who would get in her way beware! Few understood how her calm and collected father could be in any way related to this pugnacious creature. She took nearly everything as an insult or attack of some sort, her temper a tinderbox ready to explode at the slightest urging. Keeping the peace was hard around her.
And now she was training, and she was showing that in one way she was related to her father: her skills with a sword were incredible for one her age, and she was only improving as she trained, never letting up. Touinar feared the titan-like figure of elder Gurahdi, knowing her reputation all too well, but she looked up to her as well.
After all, she /was/ her little sister!
