Though he technically ranks no higher than the other operatives, as the contact with the superiors Enigma does get a certain amount of respect. He rarely actually fulfills missions, spending more time in meetings with those his coworkers never see or hear. He has a laidback and cynical personality, which Vertigo especially can't stand (likely as it's similar to his own personality with a splash of bitterness added). He does love having his nose in every affair, which is his main motivation for the job: he gets a little peek into more powerful secrets than most people could even imagine.
