As standard of the typical British gentleman, England will of course be rather polite and chivalrous. Don't forget the please, thank you, ma'am, and sir!
But here's some of the more interesting stuff. The first impression you'll get of him is someone rather aloof and... well... 'lacking' in the heart department. It takes him a lot of energy and effort to take up a cheerful and friendly disposition; it's just not his thing!
Rather than follow "could-be's" and emotions, he prefers to stick to just the facts, ma'am. As a result, he prefers doing things in steps.
Step-by-step how to manuals are great! Putting a table together without a manual? Forget it. Not worth the time.
He's so obsessed with procedures that if he find one that works, he'll stick to it. No matter how difficult or unreasonable it may seem for the situation. Which does come in handy sometimes, as unlikely as it seems. If there's an emotionally difficult decision to make... ask him. Once he makes a decision, it's final. He won't change, and he won't have a guilty conscience about it either.
"You TOLD me you'd have it finished for today, and now you're telling me you haven't started?"
Deadlines are of an absolute - not relative - importance. You make a commitment, you better follow through. If you don't... well, he'll be incredibly upset with you. Although, he won't verbalize it unless you ask. He's polite (sort of) that way.
Remember how I mentioned he likes following procedures? Well that doubles for traditions.
"We've always done it this way" is his logic for most of the unreasonable (and usually outdated) processes he likes to follow. As a result, he feels most at home in the military.
Although he's currently just a lowly sergeant, in time, he'll raise to the ranks of captain or perhaps even general! Currently he does very little in the army. Most of the time he'll fill out paperwork and do general administration ("I brew some excellent tea for some of our generous patrons and donors!"). On occasion, he doubles as a disciplinary committee officer.
If you break a rule... you better pray you don't get landed with him. He's known to be one of the harsher committee members. Although, if you get called in for commendations, he'll brew you some excellent darjeeling tea. (If he's really pleased with you, he'll brew you some more exotic teas!)
