Dade stumbles into a kitchen he has never seen before and pukes into the sink. Is puke supposed to be black?
Breathing, he can see spiders from the drain, following him. Out to get him, going for the jugular, fangs at the ready. Why spiders?
More itching, lots of white lines, figurative or not. Daye thinks he might be overdosing. Might be self-destructive, might be suicidal, might be falling apart at the seams, might be dying, might even be dead. Perhaps even killing himself slowly, pill by pill, line by line, shot by shot, hit by hit.
Might be immortal; thinking too loud, getting too many glances. They must see the trail of spiders; they must see the lines, are they red? Red?
He thinks he is falling, falling far into the earth where spiders arent, but then he hits the floor. floor? And he knows he must be alive.
