Count Alucard was a Vampire who was hunted down and killed years ago.
However, he didn't stay dead. He was revived by a necromancer for a truly undead vampire slave. This, however did not go as planned.
Alucard rebelled viciously, and managed to free himself from the necromancer's control as well as capture himself a wonderful meal.
He has since taken over the necromancer's residence, and is studying up on the art of necromancy himself, fascinated by the thought of toying with death itself.
Over time he's brought the decaying pumpkin patch to life, infusing it with Dragon Bones. Thus rose his first servant, the ever loyal guard, Headless. The headless dragon is loyal to a fault, and guards the undead vampire tirelessly, willing to destroy what life he has for him.
The second thing Count brought back from the grave was merely a ghost. Though it was quickly noted this ghost was quite physical, there was a draw back. They had to stay within a certain radius of the Count himself, if they were to remain on the mortal plain. Unsettled was what Count deemed them, and thus they were named.
After Unsettled had settled, the Count began experimenting again. This time, Apostasy was revived. Another mere phantom, though better perfected then last time. Apostasy didn't have the limitation Unsettled had. Though the stubborn nature of this one often clashed with the others and even the Count himself, they'd be hard pressed to admit they weren't fond of the old spirit.
The Count's forth minion was nothing more then an accident. He was attempting to resurrect a corpse more directly this time, however due to his other subjects arguing in the back ground, the Count was pushed right as he tried to cast the spell. Instead of the cadaver, the spell struck a peppermint candy, and thus, Elden was born. Elden was a stark contrast to the others of the manor, kind and loving. The Count quickly grew to appreciate his positive effect on himself and the others, and became very protective of this candy creature.
Though they are very different indeed, they rely on each other, and are nothing less than a family.
The Count is not very friendly to outsiders, thinking of them as little more than a free meal. He is easily angered, and vicious when so. His greatest fear is fire, and he'll do anything he can to avoid it. Fire is the only thing that can truly return him to the grave now, and he has no intentions of ever going back.
