Personality:
Hade often comes across as impulsive, quick to upset and rather childish. He enjoys playing pranks on his friends and laughing at them when bad luck comes their way. He's called narcissistic by his friends, when he can't hear them. He takes pride in his appearance and makes an attempt to make himself presentable at all times, even though that proves to be an issue, due to the forest home he currently resides in. He is also a self proclaimed "ladies man", since he's under the impression that his cocky mannerisms and tricks can cause woman into falling for him, mainly referring to Biae. He is never modest and always the first one to point out his obvious skill level with a sword or speak of his good looks. He also has a tendency to do things without thinking, causing himself and all those around him to get into trouble. Despite his joking, and often arrogant, tenancies, Hade cares deeply for his friends and would do anything to protect them. He also has a hidden stoic and rather glum side to himself. Deep within him hides the sadness of leaving his family and the fears of what has become of them. Hade is a kind, sarcastic and somewhat irritating individual.
Physical Appearance:
Alec is quite an attractive person, with pale skin, has long dark blue hair that is tied with a light cyan ribbon into a side ponytail, and staggering golden eyes. He stands at five feet and eleven inches. He is relatively skinny, weighing only 130 pounds. In terms of apparel, Hade wears a sleeveless light blue shirt, with an old tan vest that goes over it and a pair slightly worn light brownish-green pants that reach slightly past his knees. He wears an black armlet with a skull in the middle on his right arm and a dark green piece of cloth, tied in a knot, on his left. On his waist, he wears a dark brown belt that holds a dark gray holster for his sword.
Relationships:
Biae -
Hade's relationship with Biae is nowhere near a fairytale. She is often violent towards him and is quick to anger. Her anger fits end with Hade having a fan shaped mark on his forehead. Despite the anger and fits of rage, she appreciates all that Hade does for her. At times, her hugs and even a peck on the cheek, could lead one to believe that she returns the crush Hade holds for her. Biae is too absorbed in her books and royal matters to follow Hade on his adventures, let alone be hopelessly in love with him.
Pennie -
Unlike Biae, Pennie is not one to shy away from showing her affections towards Hade. She fell in love with her master the day he saved her from her cell in the Celeyti Castle dungeon. She greatly admires Hade's courage and dedication to his job of protecting the Queen. One day, she hopes to be as good a sword welder as him. She also hopes that her advances in the art will cause Hade to fall for her. She is often daydreaming of the day that Hade would return her feelings, causing her to fall or mess up a move Hade has taught her.
Rammy -
Rammy joins Hade's band of adventurers later on. His is often annoyed by Hade's lack of seriousness. This dislike is a result of his crush on Pennie. He notices the way Pennie stares at the young swordsman, and is envious of his ability to win her attention. Although he has underlying hatred for Hade, he overall respects his position and loyalty to the Celeyti Kingdom and its queen. He also appreciates the amount of time Hade spends with him, helping him master his fire abilities.
Story:
Alec Junior was born to Lily and Alec Itmair Senior on June 3rd 1845. He was a gleeful baby, and eager to crawl wherever he could. Despite his small size, he never shied away from a dangerous situation. His hair was as dark blue as the night sky on a rainy night and his eyes were the color of gold.
As Alec aged, he was eager to make friends and show off his natural talents. He was quite quick, easily beating children at least four years older than himself in a race. He also possessed an uncanny ability to jump and land silently. Alec's abilities endowed him with popularity, but made him a target for the worst kind of people.
At age eleven, Alec became friends with a group of thieves known as the "Quick Fingers". They "accepted" him into the group due to his talents and fearless attitude. The group would often send him to steal food or weapons from the nearby marketplace. He greatly enjoyed his time with the Quick Fingers, they were his true family, or at least that's what he thought.
When his parents learned of his involvement with the Quick Fingers, they quickly packed their bags and moved to the nearby kingdom of Celeyti. Alec was heartbroken, but believed his parents would soon not be an interference in his life.
Now situated in his new home, Alec took to climbing trees in the woods behind his house. The intense training he put himself through, during the past few months, had put in him in tiptop shape.
His father, after noticing the amount of training he put himself under, gave Alec his grandfather's sword on his twelfth birthday.
The sword became Alec's prized possession, and said it gave him the courage to challenge rules and society. His defiance of society and the norm, caused him to want to leave his home.
On July 4th 1856, in the wee hours of the morning, Alec took on his thieves name and left his home for good. He chose the name "Hade" due to its bold sound and felt it better suited his natures.
From then on, the twelve year old boy fended for himself and stole whatever he needed. He felt the carefree lifestyle better suited him and let him practice his sword-fighting skills, without being bothered.
After two and half years of honing his sword skills and practicing thievery, Hade felt it was time to try and rob the castle.
The following night, Hade left his home in the woods across from the castle and slunk into the bushes near its front entrance.
Using a nearby tree, Hade jumped onto the roof and went slowly down the chimney. Logically, he knew the money would be hidden, so he inquired that a reconnaissance would be necessary.
Room by room, Hade checked for anything he could pocket for himself. However, he came up short.
Finally he reached a door adorned with jewels and rubies. It was then that he realized that this room must hold the money he sought.
Almost soundlessly, Hade opened the door. He found no riches behind it, however he did find a beautiful girl.
She slept much an angel, he thought. He walked closer to her bed, creaking the boards with each step that he took.
Suddenly the beautiful girl bolted upright. Her white hair fell to her shoulders, piercing hazel eyes stared back at his own.
Hade couldn't breathe, he noticed the tiara on the top of her head. The realization hit him like a tornado, this girl was the princess.
The girl then screamed ,a piercing scream that rattled him. In a spit second, guards surrounded him and grabbed him by the shoulders. The princess then asked him,
"What is your name commoner?"
"The name is Hade, my lady. However my real name is Alec. Call me whichever you prefer." He answered her, grinning.
"Since you haven't asked, I shall tell you who I am. I am, Ardace Biae, future queen of Celeyti. This the last of me you shall ever see Hade, enjoy the dungeon." Ardace said, grinning a wide, prideful smile.
His eyes widened in fear as the guards dragged him to the dungeon, deep below the castle.
Hade grinned and muttered, as they locked the metal doors behind him,
"This cell won't hold me for long."
"Bragging won't get you out of here." a voice said from behind him.
The voice belonged to a girl with light green eyes and auburn hair. She was terribly skinny, she had hair that hung lifelessly in her face and wore baggy, ill-fitting clothing.
"Who are you? More importantly, why are you here?" Hade questioned.
"The name's Pennie. And for reasons that aren't important at the moment, I tried to steal from someone long ago, my parents became afraid of me and now here I am. And who might you be?" Pennie grinned, acting like she was rather proud of herself.
"My name is Hade. I was brought here, due to being caught trying to steal from the Princess." Hade remarked, remorse filling his voice.
He then saw that Pennie was tacked against the wall, ropes wrapping around her arms and legs.
Hade noticed that the guards didn't take his sword. Using his trusty weapon, he cut through the ropes that were restraining Pennie. He caught her in his arms as she fell.
She blushed, he noticed. Grinning he told her,
"Hold on to me, we're busting out of here."
Hade used his sword, in his other hand to break the window and shoved Pennie through.
Pennie reached for his hands and pulled him up towards to the window.
A guard yelled, ran in and pulled his hands away from Pennie's.
He watched helplessly as Pennie's freedom was ripped away from her.
Instead of being taken back to their cell, Hade and Pennie were brought to what he believed to be the throne room. The guards dropped Hade and Pennie on the ground.
A man in lavish clothing stood before them, who Hade assumed to be the king.
"Good day your highness." Hade said, bowing.
But the king only laughed at them.
"Shall we sentence them to death my beloved?" the king asked his queen.
"Hmmm.. That's a tough one my dear Fernande." the queen said.
"Well my queen, let's have the princess decide their fate." the king replied.
Biae walked into the throne room then, glaring at Hade and Pennie.
"Why have you called me in father?" the princess asked.
"These prisoners tried to escape and neither myself, nor your mother can decide what to do with them. We thought we'd let you decide." The king smiled at his daughter.
"Show me your skills and maybe I'll let you live." Biae grinned.
"I am a master of the sword, ma'am. I could provide protection and be a proper escort for you." Hade breathed.
"Intriguing, and you?" She asked Pennie.
"I also have practice with a sword, however I am not experienced as Hade." Pennie said solemnly.
"Well I've assessed the situation, I've decided that you both shall live, but under one condition." Biae sighed.
"Hade you will be my bodyguard when I enter town. But you will require more practice, to ensure your power as a swordsman. You will train with the royal guard." Biae said, smiling.
"What about me Princess?" Pennie said, her voice full of fear.
"That brings me to the one condition. Hade, you must become a mentor to Pennie. Swear on your life that you will protect her and myself and you both shall go free." Biae closed her eyes as she said this.
"You have my word, my lady." Hade bowed.
In the years that followed, Hade became a true master of the sword and made fast friends with his new apprentice. He still maintains his crush on the now Queen of Celeyti. Along the way, Hade and Pennie meet another adventure seeker, by the name of Ramirez, whose fiery powers and evident crush on Pennie may prove to be trouble. Hade is always up for an adventure and for whatever trouble that may befall him, or his comrades, in the process.
