Cleia
Clouds fixated on the storm that was brewing,
Became transfixed on the beauty of the shape forming,
From the mist, Egyptian Pharos knelt down to pray.
Rain had not fallen for many months,
And as the clouds drew heavy began to melt.
Rain dropped, heavy and sudden.
They hadn't felt such a relief than when
Their Queen had ruled, once the visage had fizzled.
The ground remained rich in nutrients, the sun began to
shine between two clouds, and they saw something.
A form began to shine above the clouds, as if watching over
The Egyptian town, it was a bringer of fertility, of rain, of promise.
The people dropped to their knees and prayed to this Lioness, chanting
Over and over,"Cleopatra," until they realized that in her rebirth she had transformed,
She now was to be called Cleia, their Queen reborn.
Mistic’s Queen Cleopatra in another life
strong, brave, beautiful, vain
Rae was her patron goddess
died, taking the rain with her
her people began to suffer
Rae saw this, and decided to bring rain back to Ravi-Sorin
Cleopatra was transformed into a cloudy Nimbus Ahbruis
now known as Cleia
cannot completely return to Mistica/Earth (forbidden to step foot)
so she watches her people from above
Queen Cleopatra of then-Egypt was known for her grace, beauty, and charm. People loved her and they feared her.Even the Goddess, Rae, admired the young beauty, who she affectionately called Cleia. And to this day, the Anyas of Ravi-Sorin, the resting place of this once great empire, still worship her daily in their temples. However, soon after her death, a drought plagued the land, threatening to turn all its inhabitants into dust. For thirty days, the sun beat down on the land, even drying up the rivers and canals. Crops burned under its intense glare. And livestock fell sick. Rae's heart ached for her people, so she turned to Pandoria to bestow a gift upon the land. Agreeing, the goddess took Cleia's spirit and turned it into a storm cloud bursting with rain.
The once mighty queen, saved her people. Still, something was amiss, for while Cleia had been reborn as a Nimbus Ahbruis, she was forbidden to enter the holy lands she once knew. And what was worse, she could not alight on the earth of Mistica. She was stuck on her cloud for the rest of eternity, forced to watch life happen around her. However, she hasn’t given up. Cleia intends to rule Ravi-Sorin and bring it back to its former glorious Egypt one day. But for now, she will shield her people from the unforgiving sun. She will protect them.
Description: Cleia is knowing for her beauty, even now. The Nimbus Ahbruis’ fur always gleams brightly, and is always cleaned, and her cloud plumage is always fluffy, even when she is a sour mood. Her pelt looks surprisingly dry, but is damp to touch, leaving anyone who dares to get close to her with icy fingertips. Cleia prides herself in carrying herself in an air worthy of a queen. With her head high at all times, she never slouches or practices bad posture - even in hard times. Her mane, like the rest of her, is well-kept, though it is slightly longer than most. This gives her a more regal and lion-like appearance, that matches the feline way she walks. Her eyes are a sharp icy blue with cat-like slits to let in more light on a stormy day. And she sees all with them.
Personality: Cleia is strong-headed and brave. She tries to do her best to care for her people; however, she is not above crushing others to fulfill her goals. She is also very vain, being told frequently, even after her death, how she was the most beautiful creature in all of Egypt, if not the world. As a result, she can be swayed by flattery to a point. So long as she deems it harmless, she will assist anyone who praises her and does it well. Still, Cleia is quite cunning, and can change mostly any situation in her favor. She is the kind of woman you would loathe to have as your enemy for it means certain defeat, and sometimes death.
Strengths: Her wit and cunning are strengths that allowed her, a woman, hold a firm grasp on the empire. Her ability to wow and make powerful friends, also helped. Because of her friendship with Rae, her people saw her a god-reincarnate just as much as they had the Pharaohs of the past. Cleia is also very creative and clever, seeing paths and choices that many others cannot see. She also has a natural gift at predicting outcomes. When she says something will happen, it most likely will - in that, many priests and priestesses would actually come to her to interpret their visions!
Weaknesses: Likewise, Cleia can be seen as cocky and self-assured to a fault. While she had many advisors on hand, she rarely requested them. And those that she did call for, often fell out of favor. Thus, she has a revolving door of council members that changed with the seasons. For that reason, while she was well-loved by the people, she was rarely close to anyone politically, and suffered for it when she actually needed help. Cleia's vanity is also a well-known as somewhat of a weakness of hers. Many males and females alike would attempt to extort it for their own personal gains. And while she tried her best to keep them at bay, sometimes she would fail.
Biography: Previously known as Queen Cleopatra, she was the last true ruler of Egypt, the land now known as Ravi-Sorin. She was regarded for her beauty and as well as her cunning. She was a ruthless ruler to all that stood in her way, even having her own sister murdered to maintain power. However, to her people, she was known as a benevolent queen, that would stop at something to protect her people. Cleopatra only wanted the best for Egypt, causing it to prosper for her short reign. Duly, she gained favor from the Anya Goddess, Rae.
Speculations on Cleopatra’s death are merely speculations, for no one, but the queen knows how she met her demise. All that is known is that she died prior to her fortieth birthday, and with her Egypt crumbled. Plague and famine became something that was commonplace. Firestorms destroyed the already scorched land. A long drought dried up the once prosperous Nile River. And her people suffered.
Tired of seeing her people suffer, Cleopatra convinced the goddess Rae to go to her fellow immortal and plead for something to be done. Agreeing, Pandoria bestowed the gift of rain upon the former ruler. Cleopatra, thus, became known as Cleia the Nimbus Ahbruis, but on condition. Cleia was never to step foot on solid land again. She had spent her time on Earth, and would not be allotted a second more. Reluctantly, the once mighty queen agreed.
Now Cleia spends her days, peacefully, floating over Ravi-Sorin, watching her people in their daily lives. Though, she yearns to be apart of live and build her empire back, for now, her only duty is to bring rain when asked by the Anya priests. So when you visit, and you see a single cloud in the sky, know that is the last queen of Egypt, plotting.
