CRUSH JOKER MOVEMENT: A terrorist organization that rose up roughly 14 years ago, about 30 years after the rise of [The Gifted], a group of extraordinarily talented individuals.
[The Gifted] - children considered prodigies in various aspects, be it exceptionally skilled at scientific or mathematical reasoning, computers, engineering, genetics, music, etc. "The Gift" manifests itself between the ages of 14-20. Once it manifests, the individual becomes fixated to the point of obsession on a single topic and show incredibly increased intellectual growth. This continues for roughly 15 to 25 years, after which the individual's brain begins to break down at an accelerated rate with symptoms resembling Alzheimer's, until their brain shuts down completely, which results in their death. Since their appearance, since they care about nothing besides furthering their obsessions, governments and large companies have employed them, and they are the reason for much of today's technological advances, however they are suspected to be denied basic human rights, being cast away after they go into their regression stage.
Crush Joker is an organization supposedly made up entirely of The Gifted who are fighting for equality and human rights. A noble gesture, however they have proven themselves dangerous to the general populace. Their terrorist acts cannot go on. They are very dangerous and must be eliminated immediately.

Little is known about this individual. He should be considered highly dangerous and manipulative. He is suspected to be closely related to one of the Founding Four of Crush Joker [unconfirmed].
He appeared 2 years ago during the infamous CJ-Delta Incident, where Crush Joker allegedly bombed an embassy building, hacked and stole an incredible amount of classified information from another embassy, and hacked into a nuclear missile silo control system, only to leave a malicious warning.
The hacking has been confirmed to be his work - as he left behind no trace besides a butterfly decal closely resembling the tattoo around his neck.
His gift is considered non-combative, however his personality has been deemed to be more malicious than most [Gifted]. Handle him with utmost caution. Our inside source describes him to be quite docile and kind to his team members, but becoming bitter and harboring a vehement hatred towards [non-Gifted], especially those of high political standing - almost like becoming a different person completely. It is unknown why he harbors such a grudge, he hasn't told anyone.

Hey, shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Most've us have lost someone special to those damn Suits. Hey, they're just gettin' what they deserve, I say!"

Miscellaneous information about Etienne Duval (general character information, because the file was vague). He's generally pretty docile, even bordering on a pacifist. He lived most of his life hiding behind his older brother, a strong personality that Duval leaned on.
His brother was the first in the family to manifest a [Gift], a genius at biomedical engineering. When the leading pharmaceuticals company [Malkov Pharmaceuticals] offered his brother a state of the art research facility to continue researching to his heart's content, he was overjoyed and left without a second thought. Duval was, at first, happy for his brother - even proud when he found out that his brother had become the leading expert in the field of limb regeneration. Everything was fine until his brother hit the Regression stage. Malkov Pharmaceuticals did not wish to take on the burden of caring for his brother (and the 26 other Gifted they employed), despite his achievements. It was then that they realized the contracts they signed mentioned nothing about care if they ever became disabled, because at the time, Regression of the Gifted was still largely unknown about.
Duval's family could not afford extended hospital care for his brother, and he passed away in relative misery.
The loss of his brother left Duval rather winded, because he had always depended on his brother rather than make his own decisions. You could say that it left him slightly unbalanced, and pushed all his pent up frustration, hatred, and blame on non-gifted, despite being one himself.
When his ability manifested, he joined the Crush Joker Movement without a second thought, and immediately plowed his way to the top. The CJM was originally quite peaceable, and started as peace walks and occupation movements, but as their pleas fell on deaf ears, they became increasingly militiristic - reaching new levels of terrorism when Duval took the seat as one of the top officers.
He hides it from people but he does feel some level of guilt about his actions. Though he tries to bury his past self by convincing himself that non-gifted are all scum, underneath the shell he built is still that shy boy hiding in his brother's shadow.
Around his fellow CJM teammates, he's actually very docile and friendly. He's soft-spoken, and very popular amongst the younger members of the CJM, as he's very good with children. He spends extensive time in the Regression Care Facility in the CJM headquarters, trying to make the CJM teammates who have begun to regress feel comfortable and wanted.
