Pet Profile

A planet that was almost destroyed by the chaos that was unleashed in a war between hellborne and the divine beings. The other species on the planet were forced to adapt to the sudden change or parish. Most of them couldn't handle the change and as a result, died off. For the ones that did survive, they, after several thousand years, finally found a way to better adapt to the changed landscape, the after effects of the chaos affecting them in more ways than one.

Ruaki is a Shade Elf, which is a distant relative of the Shadow and Dark Elves that are all but extinct now due to a mutated virus that wiped out most of their population. All the elves, and several other highly intelligent species (like the Dracons, humanoid dragon beings, the Keranis, elusive lizard beings and the Huzora, a race of magic infused humanoids with spiked bone ridges on their body) at this point have developed various ways to cope with the chaos infused lands and somewhat use it to their advantage.

The Shade Elves are able to draw in the toxic chaos from various areas and use it to fade away into shadows and walk unseen by all except for certain species, like higher divine and hellborne beings. But this has ill effects if used in rapid succession over a short period of time and can result in them being consumed by it, either being driven insane or killing them outright.

Ruaki takes it upon herself to find a way to slowly restore the balance to its rightful place. As a Shade Elf, like most other elves, they have a familiar that follows them around, and hers is a large wolf with a few physical changes, whose fur has been stained a deep black and purple color due to the chaos. Elves are also one of the only beings to be able to make contracts with divine or hellborne beings, though most end n failure. To try and take a step in the right direction, Ruaki makes a contract with the Divine White Tiger - Byakko. Since there is always a price to pay, the cost of her contract is Ruaki losing her ability to speak from that moment on. Thus her familiar takes up the role of being their voice, as they are in tune with the Shade Elf. (Familiars are connected to the elves via their soul. If their familiar dies, the elf will soon follow.)
