 | Brendan & Elijah two halves to a whole Brendan Green grew up hot-headed and rebellious within a middle class family in California. Having older twin sisters wasn't too favorable to him in the beginning, but he eventually grew to love them more than he could with his parents. Yvette and Yolanda often babied Brendan, even in his high school years. He was a senior stuck in detention one day for getting in a "fight" with the captain of the football team, Devin McCormick. Tragedy struck his sisters, resulting in a devastating car crash, and neither survived. Out of desperation for his peers to accept him, he took a dare from Devin to light himself on fire. His classmates video-taped the ordeal until the police showed up, ending in Devin dropping a match on Brendan's face in panic. The teen was left blinded in both eyes; his eyelids were melted together and scars now cover the top half of his face. He was quickly admitted to the hospital, then to the psychiatric ward for wanting to get back at Devin for the pain the older boy caused. It was in the psych ward that Brendan met Elijah, and after many incidents, the two came to realize they had a special bond and a peculiar ability.
