An ex car salesman, he was scarred for life from an incident that occured at the dealership. his family had come to visit and a car had hit them while they were walking, killing all three. Beetle took their clothing, spattered with their blood, and dressed manequins with it, which are positioned throughout his house. He speaks to them as if they were his wife, son and daughter, and doesn't accept the fact that they are dead. He has taken to collecting bugs, and his walls are lined with frames full of dead ones.
He had taken in a kid after the accident, but Beetle's many mood swings and outbursts scared the boy. The kid ended up hanging himself, and his corpse is still hanging in the hallway closet. Beetle has random mental breakdowns, and punishes himself when he believes he has down something wrong, whether it is his fault or not. (Weirder example is like the lightbulb going out, or something)
