Personality:
Baruch is calm and collected, he ensures to hold himself with grace and dignity. He feels he should be an example to the new recruits of Guardian Angels, very rarely will he let himself relax. The only Angel that can get him to ease up is Balthamos.

Job:
Baruch passed away peacefully at the age of 105. When his spirit left his body, he soared into the sky and, without thinking, moved his way into a light filled tunnel. He shot out of the other end, and found himself in a white and gold building. His feet touched the carpeted floor, and he was greeted by an Angel.
The Angel guided him to a side room to meet the Head Administrator, Baruch entered and sat in an empty chair. The Head Admin smiled brightly, and introuduced himself as Dilon. He began to explain the job of their department. He was a Guardian Angel, their job was to watch over a being in the mortal world, and subtly lead them down a more positive life. Baruch frowned slightly at this, but Dilon chuckled. He explained that, they did not directly interfere in the persons life. This was not allowed, but they were there to whisper in their ear and tell both the positive and negative of a decision they would make. They were to act as a conscience.
Dilon reached over and picked up some papers, he handed them to Baruch and asked him to read through them. Baruch did so, and was surprised. They wanted him to become a Guardian Angel. Dilon explained they gave each new soul a chance at becoming a Guardian Angel, if they didn't want to or couldn't do the job they were sent into the after life. Baruch read through carefully, and thought carefully. He picked up a golden feathered pen and signed the contract. Dilon smiled brightly, and suddenly Baruch found himself with wings.
By the time Baruch was 900, he had reached the rank of High Guardian Angel. He was the youngest Angel to reach this level, there were only 11 other Angels who had reached this rank.

Downfall:
For many centuries the Guardian Angels had seen many successes, but one Angel was found to be rather useless. Balthamos. He was still young and kept trying to take a more direct approach in his duties. He had almost been kicked out, but Baruch saw potential in him, and asked if he could be allowed to better train him. Dilon took this as an insult, he had himself trained Balthamos and didn't like the insinuation that his teaching methods were flawed.
Balthamos and Baruch became friends over time, having to work so closely together they found each other to be good company. With Baruch's guidance, Balthamos became a better Guardian Angel. Dilon watched his progress with growing irritation, though lately Dilon had seemed rather short tempered. Thanks to Baruch, Balthamos was allowed to stay on as a Guardian Angel.
But one day, he had made a mistake. He had turned a person down the path of thievery, this mistake could not be overlooked. As a punishment, he was sent to guard the Dungeon. This Dungeon housed the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. They had once roamed over the mortal world, and had nearly destroyed it. But a Higher Power had defeated them, and locked their esscence away.
The job of guarding a door was soul crushing, none but the High Guardian Angels could unlock the seal on the door, and of course, none would do that.
