The Green Starchild
ageless; made of stars; eternal
cosmic earth manipulation and plant manipulation
Name: Ralia Lay Yul Astoria
Also known as: Astra, Astrid
Gender: Agender
Pronouns: She/Her
Species: Starchild
Appearance: Astoria is long limbed, standing tall and proud amongst the Stars. She is elegant, holds her head high, with sharp features. Her eyes are a striking forest green, shrouded in shadows and framed by a mane of iridescent peacock feathers. Her legs are long, powerful, with sharp black talons, much like those of a birds. There are two deep green ridges in her chin and they travel all the way across her body.
Abilities: Astoria has a vast and formidable control over the element of earth - her abilities strong enough to influence the planets.
Astoria can redirect meteorites, birth stars, travel galaxies in the blink of an eye. She knows the ins and outs of every world she has encountered and can call upon the plant life of any, regardless of the distance between her and them.
Astoria prefers to use her powers subtly, favouring a swift resolution, though she is not above fighting dirty and oblitering those who oppose her if she deems it necessary.
For close quarters combat, Astoria wields a jet black sword that she forged for herself - she can channel her energies through it, enhancing its capabilities. The sword glows green when connected to Astoria's cosmic powers.
Personality: Astoria is a proud, stubborn being who believes the Stars are above mortality and dislikes interacting with those beneath her. She is adamant that the Stars should not have to lower themselves, to waste their energies for nothing in return. For Astoria, there must be something in it for her before she will even deem it worth her consideration.
Astoria struggles with empathy, coming off as cold and callous but can be warm towards those she holds in high esteem. She holds Agloria in high esteem, though she struggles when it comes to their opposing views on the galaxies.
Astoria is vocal when it comes to voicing her opinions and even when wrong, will never stoop so low as to admit to it. She is not a good listener and when hearing something she does not like - or agree with - can sometimes resort to underhanded and dangerous methods.
Story: Millennia ago, the Stars gifted the mortals with their abilities so that they may protect themselves against any evils that may come their way. Astoria is vehemently opposed to the idea, disliking the thought of mortals having access to the abilities of the Stars. Though it took much persuading, Astoria eventually yielded and began sharing her gifts across the cosmos.
Over the millennia, Astoria comes to realise that the mortals who receive her blessings are easily manipulated and that the even lesser mortals come to worship the Stars. She revels in this newfound sense of authority, much to the dismay of her fellow Stars.
Her desire for power and control sets her on a dangerous path, however.
