Given Aristotle's species, I felt that a name of some intelligence and historical importance would be fitting. Imagine my surprise when Ari turned out to be even more whimsical and child-like than his big brother Tamerlane. Notably lacking in Ari, however, were Tam's ennui and and complete disinterest in personal improvement. Although he spends most of his day on mischievous adventures (aided and abetted by his soul-mate, Elvis), Ari finds the time to read anything put before him. Lucien was so delighted to have another literary soul in the house that he promptly handed over his entire library to Ari, promising never to top his book count if Ari promised in return to continue his education.

When Ari isn't reading, playing with Elvis, or dreaming of his very own pet Fernis, he's tending his flowers. He imagines a beautiful classic English garden with a little gazebo where he can sit and read his beloved books. The hardest part of growing his lovely plants wasn't their actual cultivation, but gently persuading Elvis that he couldn't dig/run through/roll amongst the freshly-planted seedlings. It took a bit, but now Elvis helps with the watering and weeding, moving slowly amongst the blossoms, taking care not to crush a single petal. (Ari is so proud of him.)
