Arislan looked out across the vast, snow covered wasteland before him. He had been born in the realm of Blizzards, but now that he was finally come of age to adventure out, he was ready to go.

His den mother, behind him, heaved a sigh; her eldest was leaving, but she could not stop him; she was already too close to the birth of her next litter to adventure out behind him, and his father was right: it was time for Arislan to find himself, a journey he could only partake of if he left home.
