Exodus says The dark figure moved through the streets like the shadows he controlled, brushing through the door to the bar with a flick of his wrist. His nose crinkled slightly with distaste at the smell of smoke in the air, but he remained largely unphased as he moved to lean against the bar not far from the woman who entered just before him. He drew a lot of attention without trying, the wings on his back telltale of his identity but not something he had any way (or intention) to hide. Whispers spread through the patrons like wildfire, the name infamous and many taking the opportunity to slip out before anything happened. He did pause for a moment to lift a brow toward the woman a few seats away, his words muttered under his breath, "You're telling me." He turned then with a calm smirk toward the bartender, lifting a hand to drum his fingers lightly against the wooden bar to get his attention. He was an old man, littered with scars and bright eyes that narrowed as they fell on the newcomer. "Exodus. What business do you have? Here to finish me off after all these years, or is it out of spite?" The old man's words were laced with hate and wariness, to which the knight just laughed. The rest of the bar seemed to wait on edge. "Don't flatter yourself, old man. My business isn't with you, aside from the drink I'd like to order. It's been quite a trip to get here, after all~" exodus chuckled at that, waving toward the other to go about his job, continuing casually as thr barkeep grumbled under his breath and the bar seemed to breathe a little easier. "Don't go out if your way on my account. Whatever the special is would be fine." |
