Hello New comer, have you come for a visit? or have you come to hear the story of how one of such a vibrant and mischievous species seems to be so quiet and calm? Either way why don't you take a seat and rest awhile you seem tired.

My past......

I was such a mischievous tarinooki, as i guess we all were. playing pranks on one another, pushing each other out of tree's knowing no real harm would come from it. even expressing ourselves through the colorful palettes that were our tails, on just about anything we could see as a surface. it was always about fun and games none, of us took anything at all more seriously than say a child would. One day as we were all playing around as per the usual one of the group brought up he would be leaving soon to go exploring across the world and land.

it was just a shock to see our friend would be gone so soon, most were fine with it even congratulating him for deciding to go off and explore. I was so excited for him that I decided I too would go off to explore.... I was so much less prepared for what would be waiting for me beyond our small little forest and even more so because I chose the harshest time of the year to do so.

It was late in the seasons, turning close to the time of the first snow falls. many of us were preparing for this, bringing in extra bedding, insulating our hollows and nests. for some even preparing to move to a warmer location during the Cold Season. while everyone was busy I decided it was the best time to leave. I'd mentioned it to some that I had thought about leaving and many seemed worried about it being so close to the first snowfall, even wondering if maybe it would be better to wait till the spring when things would be warmer. Maybe if I had of listened to them I'd be different than I am today, but then again when have the truly young ever listened to the wiser words of others?

Finally leaving the woods I'd lived in all my life I felt excited to go out and explore the world on my own. There was much excitement over what I had set out to do, but soon i realized i had no idea what it truely ment to 'Explore' the world
