The character I have in mind is that of Nixe, named for the water spirit Nynx. It can take the form of either a male or a female, but tends to take the shape of sea foam and or barnacles.
He tends to favor the male form, since he punishes those who abuse women and drags them out to sea as punishment. He becomes water and drags their boats out. After the wrongful men are lost, he charms their women and rescues them from their otherwise dreadful fate.
As a woman, she likes to seduce ruthless men and drag them underwater to their deaths. After death, she revives them and uses them for her own amusement. She makes them dance and humiliate themselves before she throws their bodies out to sea. Sometimes, if they amuse her female form, she brings them back to life. Regretfully, they develop Stockholm syndrome and are unable to leave her side.
The young spirit of the sea must balance its abilities or else the whole world may be out of balance. Can Nixe be trusted the power it wields? Or will it learn a lesson in the process.
Her base form is that of a mermaid with silvery long hair as a female, light blue-grey skin, purple eyes with small pupils and webbed fingers. As a male, his hair is short and brown with yellow eyes and webbed legs and arms; he also wears brown shredded clothing with barnacles and shells stuck to them.
