Aetra day has just recently come and gone. As the festivities come to an end, however, I can’t help but wonder; are people in it for the pets or the piñatas? Nothing gets everybody into a festive mood more than free stuff, and I can’t help but feel that people loved the goodies more than the actual Aetrai whom we were supposed to be celebrating.

He wasn’t my real father, but he welcomed me into his house, loved me, nurtured me and cherished me as though we’d always been together. As though I were the best part of his life. He was my father and he could fly.
