Jumboyo Day!

Three new additions to Mistica have set off a string of celebrations since Friday the 27th. First our beloved Kokos disappeared, and when they were found staying at a certain Tatenda’s hut in Jumboyo Village, the Panju, Izabel and Jumboyo were also discovered! Tatenda has agreed to let members adopt these primates if you fulfill certain requirements, as they’re quite a handful!

Excitement has pervaded the site as many Misticans desperately searched for the statues that will fulfill the mandatory requirement for adoption, or spend hard earned MP in the credit shop for the privilege. The ever-present Mistican spirit of giving hasn’t died, as was proved when several members gladly gifted friends with the elusive medallion!

A surprising amount of dedicated players have already obtained one of the new species, and it’s only a matter of time before some are boxed, as new themes for the pets have already been released! Beautiful names are being snatched up quickly - real words prevalent among them - and fosters and slot coins avidly searched for.

The Panju seems most popular, but quite a few people have fallen in love with the sweet face of the Izabel or the wild nature of the Jumboyo. Facts about all three species have been posted to make choosing among them easier.

Pets weren’t the only new things released for this celebration - the entire Jumboyo Village area has been opened! The “Adopt” tent will take you to Tatenda, and this is where you can go to view adoption requirements or, having fulfilled them, adopt a Koko, Panju, Izabel or Jumboyo of your very own. Next to this hut is another one emblazoned with a bright yellow sun, and it’s a special shop that stocks plushies and beanbags of the special Jumboyo pets. If you’re lucky, you might even find one of the statues here!

With the sprite and imp war having finally come to a close, this celebration certainly got people once fighting back on the same team! There’s plenty of gifting going around and squishy new toys to collect - certainly, the new Misticpets have come into our world with a bang of a celebration!

When asked about Jumboyo Day and the new pets, users had this to say:

I like that they didn't hand us the pets on a silver platter. Having to interact and work to get a pet makes it all the sweeter when you finally succeed. I also enjoy the idea of monkey-based pets. Monkeys are such versatile creatures as a whole. And also, baboons rule.

I like the Jumboyo x3 they're really "journey to the west"-esque and there's a lot of creative customization possibilities for people who have any of the three o3o I personally don't like the Izabel just 'cause it looks kind of odd though xD

Opinions varied about the new pets, but it seems there’s a species for everyone to love. Who knows what beauties our talented artists will turn out next?
