So You Want a Phantom Pet?
Written By Xeiana
With Lanturnacht coming up there is bound to be spooky fun around every corner. Pets small and large love to dress up and have fun, but there is one theme that is tied with the Lanturn theme for best Lanturnacht theme! Yes shadies and creepymen, it’s the Phantom theme! These pets don’t just want to dress up like a ghost for Lanturnacht, they want to physically be one. If you like spooky, then this theme will be perfect. After all, who loves the creepy tendrils of mist and those piercing red eyes?
Think the Infestations and Daydreams are just too bright for you? Are the Nightmares and Terrors are just too overly done? Did you just want something simple yet still scary or creepy? That’s what the Phantoms represent. They are the classic ghost story, no pun intended. If you enjoy those ghost stories around the campfire, then you’ll find that the Phantoms love to re-enact scenes from those beloved stories and when told so, will not stand over your bed waiting to startle you when you wake up.
Zodiac, Nightmare, Lanturn, and Voodoo-themed pets go quite well with the Phantoms. As mentioned previously, Zodiacs and Phantoms surprisingly share the adoration for star-gazing. Nightmares and Phantoms mingle well do to their shared creepy appearances, after all, who else is scared by a misty figure staring over the bed at you? Since they share the love for the same holiday, Lanturns and Phantoms are the best buddies one can find, highly preferred, especially if you are a fan of Lanturnacht like most owners are.
Voodoos normally are solitary creatures, but pairing them with a Phantom actually can mellow the latter out a lot, taking on a slightly adolescent, almost childish, persona. However take that pairing very cautiously as it can make them more mischivious in a childish manner.
Daydreams and Storms don’t get along quite well. Daydreams and their brightly colored appearance can make the duller-color loving Phantoms vanish into the shadows and will sour their mood right away. Storms on the other hand are more tricky. They seem to like to fire off sparks that tend to hit Phantoms instead of go straight through them. Watching a game of ‘Spark the Phantom’ is not pleasant and tends to start angry duels between the two quickly.
Phantoms do like their tricks and normally will only tolerate one other Phantom or similarly themed pet in their house, so those who wish to have such a pet needs to keep that in consideration. If you are more of a three pets or less type, then Phantoms will definitely be one of the top contenders. Still think you’re good for gold on a Phantom? Then go out now and get one and be sure to have a lot of candies in your pantry, they’re quite partial to them.

Cute article! My only complaint is that lore-wise, Lanturn and Phantom pets would NOT get along well. You know since Phantoms are afraid of Pommekins, and Lanturn pets have them for heads. ^^; Otherwise, I love it!
