A Mistican's Guide To Camping, Pt III
Written By Fallout
Camping was fun and all, but now you've had enough of the swarms of angry bizzers in your soda and the inarbi periodically dragging your makeshift tent away to make rugs for their caves out of the material. Time to go home! But wait a minute, where is the map? Where is the GPS? Oh no, you knew there was something you forgot about when that woodland inarbu dragged off your last tent...well, time to wing it.
The first way to find your way back without a map involves reading the moss. Everyone knows that moss always points towards civilization, so look for tiny arrows and signs in the moss that will show you the way. Pixies and snazals like to leave little clues to help lost travelers find their way out of Darkwood Hollow. Sometimes gnomes have been known to mow their mossy lawns in patterns pointing towards the nearest sprite village, so look for these patterns, find your way to the village, and then ask for directions.
But say you're not in Darkwood Hollow or any place even known for moss, for that matter. How do you find your way out? Well unless you've been camping in a cave, you should have the benefit of the sky, yes? Well your solution is simple! Prior to camping, just memorize the 857 star charts that come along free with this article [Star charts not available in all areas]. Then when you're ready to return, just wait until night and use the stars to find your way home!
Last but not least is the simplest way for anyone to remember how to get back. Tie a rope to your front door before leaving. Tie the other end of the rope around your waist. Then go and enjoy your camping trip! When it's time to come home, merely follow the rope like breadcrumbs through the forest until you find your way to your home!
Now that you're home, it's time for you to plan to never go camping again!
