It is that time again Mistica to catch up on the wild, weird, and wonderful goings on in the science world!

All across Mistica, znakes have been on their annual migration to their summer breeding grounds. There are so many different znake species that new ones are discovered every year. This is the first time that a znake has been discovered thriving not in the Mistican world, but in actual cyberspace! The terminal znake spreads like a virus from computer to computer, feeding on bandwidth and snacking on a few cookies on the way by on its way to its breeding grounds. Clearly the znake believes itself to be invincible from whacking due to its unusual method of travel and in many ways it's right. Unfortunately for the znake, savvy users have found a way to erase the znake from their hard drives, leaving them a scrambled mess of garbage code. It is believed that eventually they will be able to pull themselves back together again, but, for now, they are an intangible mess.

Not to be outdone by znakes, a new species of Ostara Bunny has also been found recently. Hatching from eggs resembling jellybeans, the tiny bunnies grow to a small and manageable pocket size, enabling them to slip small gifts into children's pockets while they aren't looking. The bunnies were discovered after several hatched in an Ostara display, prompting store personnel to quickly gather them up and send them to safety in a bunny sanctuary.

And last but not least, a rare phantom caribyss was spotted out of season the other week roaming the shallow waters of Bamboo Beach. Though frightening looking, early swimmers were quickly reassured by lifeguards that the phantom caribyss is a harmless crab eater that has never been known for any attacks on beach-goers. It is unusual to see one outside of the fall when the species tend to migrate to partake in Lanturnacht festivities but is not entirely unheard of.
