So Your Mistmas Tree is Infested
Written By Fallout
So you need a Mistmas tree. You go out to Darkwood Hollow and pick out the largest, fullest, prettiest tree you can find. Unfortunately what you didn't know was that this tree was someone's home. Whether it be spiders, pixies, or evil spirits, you need to evict the tree's former resident before the big Mistmas party on Friday. Here is a quick, handy guide to exterminating those pests who dared to inconvenience you by being there first!
The most common form of infestation is spiders and insects, but more commonly spiders. For whatever reason, pine especially seems to be a magnet for spiders. Unfortunately, exterminators cost more than your tight Mistmas budget will allow and besides, you don't want your house to be sprayed full of poison the night before the party! For a more eco-friendly way to get rid of those pests, try adopting a flock of skillows! This way you have someone to eat all those pesky little creepy crawlies and some skillows get a home for the holidays!
Perhaps though it isn't spiders infesting your tree but a bunch of angry pixies. Unless one of those skillows has gotten ahold of that terror box you have stashed in your closet, they aren't really in the business of eating cute little pixies. To remove pixies from your tree, one needs to placate them in some manner. Try offering them apology gifts like fruit and small knick knacks. Some of the angrier or more snooty pixies might require gems or shiny metals, in which case you might have to do a little mining first to vacate them. Once the pixies have accepted your gift, they will leave of their own accord, hopefully without using their pixie magic to give your bottom a small, painful zap on the way out.
Unfortunately, if your tree is haunted, gifts will not be enough to placate the vengeful spirit of pine trees past. You're tired of walking around the house in a bed sheet, pretending to be one of them in an effort to confuse them and spare yourself their wrath, so what do you do to escort them off the premises? The answer is simple! Pack all of your belongings and move out of the house, leaving the tree and any ornaments on it behind. Then once you're safely far away from it, mooch off of your friends for the rest of the season. And think twice before you chop down someone's home next time.
