This Month in Mistica is a quick guide to everything that’s happened on site in the past month. Whether you’re new and want a better idea of what goes on here, an older user who’s returning, or simply too lazy to read the news, this article has all -- okay, most -- of the information you need!

May began with Queen Boreal’s all-too-predictable tantrum; she threw out Kohals that had turned a lovely shade of green, presumably because they ruined her austere décor. We also celebrated the birthday of Sweets with an adorable plushie, and Spotlight winners were announced.

On the 2nd the Credit Shop and Vending Machine were both stocked full of colorful new items, as well as some old favorites.

The 4th was strong this year and we celebrated with new pals, avatars and other items. Obi Wan Zerobi even gave the Delight Pixie a day off, dropping special clothing tags all over Mistica!

On the 5th, new achievement gifts were unveiled.

The Storm Frodrinn gave us all a shock when it flew in the next day!

May’s books were released on the 7th and Aibrean, as usual, showed up to host her monthly trivia.

May 8th was all about our elegant forest guardians, the Stignightus. There was a pet release as well as new items to collect.

Two days later Sebastian welcomed the coming summer with new Italian ice treats, and Tormic discovered some lovely new pals (not recommended for anyone sensitive to pollen).

Gordon came out with a fresh new salad on the 11th as well as some fancy gourmet dressings to make all those veggies palatable.

The 12th was Mother’s Day, and to celebrate, Rosebud released several gorgeous flower bouquets! An adorable little handprint keepsake also found its way into the Giveaway.

Do you like sticks? What about fruit? Well, Sebastian and Sonny got together on the 13th and came up with your new favorite summer treat: fruit pops! Oh, and sherbet, but that doesn’t come on a stick. Sorry. Volcan also began handing out cute new pals, and the Credit Shop carried a decidedly colder version of the species.

The Stignightuses had their day and on the 14th, it was the Obsideon’s turn! Pinatas rained from the heavens and of course, there was a pet release.

On the 15th, custom items were announced! See the news for details.

The next day Bernard discovered a whole new kind of pal, Pengoos! Coming in a variety of bright colors, they’re perfect for distracting a charging Inarbu (or giving to your pet as a pal, we don’t judge). The Traveler also picked up an odd Futuristic Screwdriver, and he’s put it up as a quest reward!

Pals everywhere this month! The 17th saw a bunch of new discoveries in Forest Finds!

The next day Kalla Lily came out with five kinds of new seeds for those of you with green thumbs. If you lack such an appendage two new gardening-based books were also released.

Officer Coppa came out on the 20th with yet another warning to stay inside. The Apocalyptic Anya gnawing on his boot wasn’t very well hidden, though. In happier news, we welcomed a new coder: Ryia!

The 21st saw our fashion expert Lance designing a new line of moth-themed items. Presumably, he got lost in Darkwood Hollow and this is how he’s channeling the trauma.

The next day had news both good and bad. Maury designed a fancy new fountain pen and managed to find his own shop well enough to stock it, but unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Immortal as she left the staff team.

To cheer us up, on the 23rd more achievements and prizes were added!

Some of you might remember forum “pillow fights” in which members tossed random items at one another. It was a wonderful display of camaraderie and violence! Well Punk Bonez took the idea one step further and suddenly, we were all in the midst of a site-wide pillow fight! New pillows for each pet was released as well as a rather nasty looking pal disguised as a pillow.

Two days later on the 26th, a lovely new Lily of the Valley gown and matching braids were stocking in the Credit Shop for a limited time.

The 27th was Memorial Day and we remembered those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

Darkwood Hollow was buzzing this month! The very next day a plethora of moths and butterflies were discovered there.

A warning about the Pillow Fight’s impending end was posted on the 29th, along with a squishy new vista and two amazing new custom items!

On the 30th, Makoto received a special shipment of pals from somewhere very far away. Dr. Erlenmeyer also discovered a new pal, which she offers as a prize for completing her quests.

Hopefully no one hid rocks in their pillows this time around, but keep an eye out for more site-wide Pillow Fights! This one is finished, but summer’s here and that hot air can make anyone slip into a daydream…
