Dreams of the Gourix Part 2

The second and last installment, finishing off the various things that show up in the dreams and nightmares of Gouran.

Nearsightedness: The feeling of being nearsighted in a dream has led many Gouran to believe that they have a very sturdy sense of things that are close, such as a sense of self and close friends and family. However, it also denotes a need to look at the big picture and be wary about becoming self-centered.

Oasis: Gouran that dream of an oasis often feel drawn to the dessert. They are in search of a greater truth and find that the best treasures lay buried. In other words, nothing worth having is easy to attain. Some Gourix find that his can be a symbol of hardships later in life. It centers on insecurity and the need to feel sheltered.

Poison: This natal dream often occurs in Gouran that slept in contaminated waters. It usually leaves them with an evil feeling that outside influences are always trying to take them over, making them unusually paranoid. Gouran who most remember poison are often very stubborn as they do not want to be “infected” by others’ personalities or choices in life. Others feel that poison means they should cleanse their lives and that of others to be truly at peace.

Quarantine: Being quarantined can mean that your Gouran is more inclined to be distant about feelings or they are afraid to make choices that can alter other people’s lives. If they see someone else who is quarantined, this dream often leads Gouran to search for the best solutions to problems or become a mediator to help others.

Raft: Rafts floating in water symbolizes being taken by the currents. Nothing is really stable, but they work well by going with the flow. Negatively, it has meant the Gourix could not find a suitable direction in life and became confused with where to go or how to get there (as in a goal).

Skateboard: Skateboarding is fun, free, and moving. Gouran who dream of riding a skateboard often see this as an omen to live freely and let go of the worry associated with stressful situations. Those who have fallen off of a skateboard in-dream have found that they tend to be emotionally imbalanced.

Token: A token can have many different meanings, depending on what it was and what it was used for. Having a token given by someone else can also be a pun on “token of gratitude”, which one Gourix reported being very influential. Galla the Gourix says, “Oh I remember my dream really, really well! I was given an object in my baby dream. I don’t remember the object but I remember they had given it to me because I had done something good for them. It made me feel especially happy and warm inside, and I try to be as positive and generous as I can.”

Unicorn: Mostly reported in female Gouran, dreams of unicorns are especially positive. They represent power, grace, and an enhanced creative flow. Black unicorns, on the other hand, are very, very negative. The black unicorn is a symbol of famine and death.

Voyage: The dream of a long journey can signify many things, such as determination, self-discovery, and athleticism. It can also connote hardships or the inclination to take simple means and over complicate them. The scenery is very indicative of the landscape the Gourix will favor during adulthood.

Wading: Most common in oceanic Gouran, dreams of wading in water relates to the control over physical and mental processes. Take into consideration how deep they have waded out, the clarity of the water, and how peaceful the water is during the wade.

X: The letter ‘X’, when seen in a dream, usually means that something is forbidden. This can be either a good or bad sign, signifying as many things as the ability to fight temptation or the prevention of a Gourix to attain a certain skill. An ‘X’ can also be seen on a map or in scenery, as in “X marks the spot.” In these instances, it is usually indicative of being adventurous or lucky.

Yelling: The action of yelling or screaming in a dream often means that the Gourix in question is fighting to be heard. Gouran who dream of yelling often fight with internal issues associated with being overlooked or unheard. Yelling can also mean that your Gourix can’t express anger issues as they are unable to cope with conflict in a positive manner.

Zodiac: The Zodiac, in all of its different forms, has various meanings behind it. When seen as a whole, or remembered as a single entity, it can mean deep self-awareness and connection to the universe as a whole. Seeing a single Zodiac, or remembering an object or creature with a specific sign, means there is special significance associated with it. Look up the attributes of the object/creature and the characteristics of the Zodiac to find deeper meaning.
