Character Spotlight: Harmony

Everyone with musical talent knows that the best place to go is Heartsong Music. The owner and shopkeeper, Harmony, stocks the highest quality instruments and musical supplies. Located in the scenic Rordon Village, many locals appreciate the business as it enhances their art-loving culture. Sprites from the nearby Darkwood Hollow are some of her most loyal customers and have offered insight as to how this Stignightus established herself in the community.
Harmony moved to Rordon Village as a young child with her family, who wanted a peaceful place for their children to grow up and receive a well-rounded education. Of course, her parents pushed her to do her best, hoping she could one day be a successful business Stignightus. But Harmony wasn't interested in that fast-paced world. Instead, the traditional music and dance of Rordon Village held her attention. It wasn't long before she attended every celebration and recital that she could.
Perhaps the biggest turning point though is when she was handed her first violin. She fell in love with performing, much to her parents' frustration. It was a rocky couple of years while Harmony continued to develop her talents against her parents' wishes. But by Pandoria's blessing, a way came to combine both interests.
A small shop went for sale when the previous owner decided to retire near Sango Reef. Harmony bought it with her savings and opened Heartsong Music. In doing this, she was able to appease her parents and herself by proving to everyone that a passion and a hobby can also be a career. Although it wasn't a franchise, Heartsong Music experienced moderate success within the village. Things expanded once the nearby sprite community heard of the high-quality products on sale.
As any regular knows, there's two big reasons why to shop at Heartsong Music over anywhere else. The first is the innovation. Being a Stignightus, Harmony would often find it cumbersome to hold and play instruments designed for legendary species. But she refused to let that stop her, and instead she developed alterations in her instruments, as well as additional equipment that can allow anyone on Mistica to play music.
The second reason for her popularity is the quality (as mentioned before). Harmony herself tests every instrument before she sells it. With her well-developed hearing, Harmony can tell any flaws in tonation and performance and refuses to sell anything with such a defect.
Many people also love the atmosphere of Heartsong Music. It's casual, featuring the traditional décor of the village. On slow days, Harmony has been known to perform to passers-by, who are welcome to bring in a cup of coffee and a muffin and listen.
For all these reasons, we can expect Heartsong Music to be around for years to come. Although young, Harmony has proven to have a knack for the business world. This is because she knows what counts most—the people who come into her store.
