This Month in Mistica is a quick guide to everything that’s happened on site in the past month. Whether you’re new and want a better idea of what goes on here, an older user who’s returning, or simply too lazy to read the news, this article has all -- okay, most -- of the information you need!


 


After the craziness of the Mistmas war, the quiet of January was a welcome change. That doesn’t mean it was uneventful, though!


 


We kicked off 2012 with a Credit Shop sale! Not only were Pandoria Boxes and other premium items sporting lowered prices, but Treasure Bags and Treasure Boxes from years past made a short appearance!


 


The next day we did some New Year’s cleaning (who wants to wait for Spring?) with an account clearing, which freed up thousands of account and pet names! Lance realized that our Legendaries probably had some frozen toes and released some fuzzy boots and clogs for the winter.


 


On the 4th, a few lucky Misticans had their wishes granted by the Wishing Well! Autopricing was also given an update.


 


Two days later the Credit Shop began stocking January’s special items, and seven new books were released for the Library. We also announced our winners for the Art, Writing and Poetry contests, so congratulations to fr0zenx, tasukiSuri, Silcoonsixx, MaSsAcRex3 and Sadeyhh, and Music, MaSsAcRex3 and JessiCosmic!


 


The ability to post your own shopkeeper picture was released on the 9th.


 


Volcan and the Strange Traveler acquired some new quest prizes on the 11th, which includes some exotic foods and lovely jewelry.


 


And on the 13th, we had a Jinx release! Not only were these limited edition pets available for creation and poppeting, but the Delight Pixie was dropping some goodies on unwary Misticans!


 


On the 20th five different collections were released – hoarders rejoice!


 


Three days later, the winner of the Ugly Mistmas Sweater Contest was revealed! Congratulations to Silcoonsixx, who had their sweater turned into a wearable.


 


We celebrated the Lunar New Year on the 24th with the re-release of some old holiday favorites! Masks, firecrackers and lanturns all started stocking at Rosebud’s.


 


Speaking of Rosebud, the colorful shopkeeper found some patriotic items hidden away and began stocking them year-round.


 


And we kicked Friday off with a surprise Obsideon and Stignightus release! Pet slot coins were also 10% off. Did you snag a new pet or poppet?


 


Hopefully you enjoyed your break this month, because soon the pink and red swarms of Infestation will liven things up!
