This Month in Mistica is a quick guide to everything that’s happened on site in the past month. Whether you’re new and want a better idea of what goes on here, an older user who’s returning, or simply too lazy to read the news, this article has all -- okay, most -- of the information you need!

 

December brought us Mistmas – gifts, goodies, and of course, Queen Boreal’s schemes!

 

First, a congratulations to our Writing and Poetry contest winners: Supersheep and Illium; MassacRex3, Ace and JessiCosmic!

 

The 1^st meant the Advent Calendar was finally up! We also said happy birthday to our wonderful writer, gemajgall!

 

Queen Boreal was quiet until the 7^th, when we saw activity in her alchemy tower.

 

The next day, the Wintergala Braenon and Wintergreen Belragoth were released!

 

On the 13^th, King Blithe received worrying but vague news from a spy of his in Boreal’s palace. Kohals were also released.

 

Two days later, the Battle Portal and all the weapons shops mysteriously closed.

 

On the 16^th, MeriKlaus released a set of lovely anniversary-themed key ornaments!

 

The Wintercursed Tarinooki and Wintergala Lirionox made an appearance only three days later.

 

The 20^th gave us a disturbing look into Queen Boreal’s tower, but Aurelius also began his journey across our skies!

 

The next day, three new sets of Mistmas themed clothing were released.

 

And on the 23^rd, Queen Boreal revealed King Kohal, mightier than ever due to her own alchemical tampering!

 

On Mistmas Eve the Queen began her march against Mistica, and we chose sides: Aurelius or Boreal. To facilitate this epic battle, the beta of the Battle Portal was temporarily opened.

 

Mistmas came with a unique gift from the Advent Calendar, and a whole lot of fighting still going on!

 

The day after, the Credit Shop had a great sale and MeriKlaus dug up some late ornaments for her stock.

 

On the 26^th, Queen Boreal was defeated! The army of Aurelius utterly demolished her forces and the queen was forced back into her lonely kingdom. A few stray Kohals were left behind for some kind Misticans to take in.

 

We said happy birthday to another awesome writer, Valkyrie, on the 27^th!

 

Two days later, some of the shopkeepers broke out some last minute wintery treats.

 

On the 30^th two lovely new pets, the Wintergreen Ahbruis and Wintercursed Draklaita, were released!

 

This Mistmas was certainly an eventful one, and luckily Aurelius was here to help! Boreal is gone until next year, but we’ll have plenty to keep us busy until then…
